Job Description:
Mass production development design for various automotive collision safety products—airbags, seat belts, steering wheels—targeted at J-OEMs (Japanese OEMs).
(Specifically)
1. Development design of new products
2. Specification changes and improvements to existing products
3. Design proposals tailored to each vehicle model
4. Various explanations and negotiations with OEMs regarding design projects
5. Specification changes, improvements, and design proposals tailored to each vehicle (cost/performance optimization)
6. Performance evaluation through crash tests, etc.
- Drawing creation using 3D CAD is only a small part of the role. The core responsibility is to smoothly advance mass production development projects while negotiating with customers and internal departments.
- Projects are launched for each product per vehicle model. Members from Sales, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Production Management, Production Engineering, and the factory join the project to drive it forward.
- When production plants are overseas, international members may also participate.
- Work is divided among product project teams for each completed vehicle manufacturer: airbags, seat belts, and steering wheels.
Career Path:
You will grow within the collision safety field as a restraint device specialist or biomechanics specialist while participating in various advanced development projects.
Qualifications:
(Required)
1. Experience in design, development, experimentation, evaluation, or analysis within the manufacturing industry
2. Graduation from a university, graduate school, vocational college, or technical college in a science or engineering field
3. Communication skills
(Preferred)
1. Experience in design at an automotive manufacturer or parts manufacturer (Tier 1 supplier) is welcome
2. Experience in the automotive industry, design experience using 3D-CAD (CATIA V5?CATIA V6)
3. Practical experience using English Ideal Candidate Profile
